William and Chandler are special in so many ways, and I’m thrilled to showcase their downtown Charleston engagement pictures.

Choosing Charleston Engagement Photographers
When William wanted to pop the question, he knew that he wanted to include a surprise proposal photoshoot. The process was fairly simple and starting researching local photographers with a bright, airy style. Michelle Huffman Photography was available and also willing to help coordinate so that Chandler could be surprised.
Michelle suggested a few Charleston engagement photo locations, and William settled on one that would feel natural. The cobblestone streets and beautiful buildings downtown are perfect. William is in the Navy and after spending some time apart, they went out to dinner to celebrate. On the way, William got down on one knee and proposed. Afterward, they had Charleston engagement photos taken to make their announcement.
Not only does Michelle do surprise proposal photography, but she is also doing their wedding day photography. Chandler’s engagement ring was custom set by Vicki Lyn Michael’s Jewelers in Myrtle Beach. William worked with the jeweler, Shay, to have a lovely diamond set in a halo-style setting. And Chandler will receive the matching wedding band on her big day!
Even though William is from Virginia and Chandler is from Texas, they included a lot of their new home state in their engagement session. Charleston, SC is lovely as you’ll soon see. There are so many beautiful areas downtown to sneak away and have a few photos taken. No wonder it’s a popular spot for couples to get engaged and married!
