A Virginia mountain wedding can be so dreamy! These events don’t necessarily mean decor centered around the location, and you can always choose a gorgeous color scheme like Laura and Jonathan did. Soft hues blended beautifully as they said “I do” with the stunning, natural backdrop only the Virginia mountains could provide.
Virginia Mountain Wedding
Ah! Head to mountain view wedding venues if you want a stunning event. Seriously! The Old Dominion offers some of the most fabulous views around. Here is a bit of Laura and Jonathan’s modern love story before you see this intimate mountain wedding.
The Love Story
Laura and Jonathan met through eharmony. It was his first date (he had only been a member for 2 weeks!) and somewhere around Laura’s 40th date (she had been a member for roughly two years!). They live in Norfolk. Both love the mountains, so they chose to have their wedding nestled in the mountains of Central Virginia.
Their wedding day was filled with personal touches (they exchanged gifts, handwritten letters, and prayers during a no-peek “first look” before the ceremony). Their ceremony included several unique and meaningful sentiments (including a brief time of worship and washing each other’s feet as their first act of service to each other as husband and wife.)
Getting Married at Mountain Wedding Locations
Again, rural locations can really be unique wedding venues. Some even have cabin elopement packages if you choose to have a more intimate mountain wedding. Either way, the fresh air, and natural surroundings can really make for a memorable day. If you are looking for cheap wedding venues, getting married outside in the mountains can sometimes be a bit more economical.
Whether you have a small budget or can afford to spare no expense, there are lots of adorable ideas in this event. So sweet! Enjoy their beautiful wedding with touches of geometrics, blush and rose gold, and – of course – those gorgeous mountains.
