Anniversaries should be celebrated, and I am greatly enjoying the fact that many couples are hiring photographers to do sessions long after their wedding day. Kudos! Ashley and Brandon were married in May of 2013 in Charlotte, NC, and they carefully planned their 3rd rustic anniversary session – in their original wedding clothes. So sweet!
What I love about this rustic anniversary session:
- The flowers are a soft blend of muted hues coupled with lots of greenery in a loose, free shape. Gorgeous!
- Ah! That shawl – what a perfect wedding accessory for the bride who wants to cover up a little throughout the day. Such a wonderful idea, and the one Ashley is wearing just feels so homey and handcrafted.
- The venue – the historic Monumental Church in Richmond, VA – offers such a blend of gorgeous backdrops. It’s both expansive and grand while also offering intimacy. Perfection!
Again, even though you are planning your wedding, I encourage you to mentally prepare to do an anniversary session sometime down the road. As you can see here, the results can be stunning. Enjoy!
