DIY – Heart Rice Krispie Treat Favors

I am all for a great Rice Krispie treat. In fact, they are super easy to make, and my family loves it when a little peanut butter is added. Other families add chocolate chips or even white chocolate (or butterscotch … yum!).

I actually found this little DIY on another blog (My Own Ideas … check it out for full instructions), and it only requires making the treats, using a cookie cutter to cut them out and attaching some adorable labels (My Own Labels)! I love it for a homemade sweet for everyone to take home.

For those who are REALLY into Rice Krispie treats, I just could not resist sharing this photo that was on The Knot a while back. I have NO skills whatsoever in this department … I can’t even get my treats to be flat on the top let alone get it to mold into a delectable cake shape. Hey, but it’s pretty cool anyway, right?

And here is a cake that is straight from the Kellogg’s website … I had no idea they had a Rice Krispie treat wedding cake on there. Imagine that! To each their own, but it does add an element of fun and surprise!

Two of our vendors provide beautiful wedding cakes, and I encourage you to check out La Bella Torta (who did our amazing cake for our editorial shoot!) along with Love Is in the Air for your wedding cake needs.
