It’s SO hard to believe that our I Dream of a Wedding couple have been married for a month already! Their wedding day was so special and a LOT of fun. I Dream of a Wedding is always an exciting time, and we are happy to say that our 2013 winners are MARRIED as of yesterday. So fun!! We can finally show off Erika’s bridal portraits now that her husband (yay, so fun to say that!) has seen her in her wedding day look. Congratulations to Erika and Gabe, and thank you to everyone who helped with I Dream of a Wedding (especially Sincerely, Liz: Photography who took these lovely images!).

Everything is all abuzz here at Hill City Bride for so many reasons, but one reason especially is that our I Dream of a Wedding couple is getting married … and in just TEN short days. I can’t believe it! Erika and Gabe are such sweethearts, and I’m excited that our vendors are such a big part of their day.

There are so very many things that I love about what I do … from dealing with wedding vendors (I adore them!) and inspiring brides who are excited in such a happy phase of life, I really do have a lot of fun. One thing that I really, really enjoy is the privilege of giving away a wedding each year to a deserving couple. It may be under the name of I Dream of a Wedding, but the dream wedding would not be possible without the many vendors who donate their services and items to make the wedding possible.

This year our bride, Erika (below in the purplish-blue v-neck), made her trek to Celebration, which is in downtown Lynchburg, to pick out her dress. The staff at Celebration is knowledgeable and fun, and they helped Erika picked out her perfect gown. Many thanks also go out to Kimberly Burke of KD Burke Photography for being our “on assignment” photographer for our I Dream of a Wedding behind the scenes sneak peeks.

Today, enjoy going along with Erika and her family as she searches for the perfect gown … the wedding is a mere month away!!

Picking out invitations is fun, and there are so many choices out there. After all, your invitations are your guests first impression of the look, feel and style of your wedding, so thoughtfully deciding is important. Well, our I Dream of a Wedding couple was able to go to the Farmbasket to pick out their dream invitations, and Kimberly of KD Burke Photography was there to document the day.
