I love new events (and great spaces!), and the Anne Spencer House and Garden Museum in Lynchburg is a lovely space to consider. If you have never been there, Sunday, May 19th (from 2-5) is the perfect opportunity to do so as they host a Sunday afternoon bridal showcase complete with vendors.

Tickets are just $5, and they can be purchased ahead of time or on the day of the event at the Anne Spencer House on 1313 Pierce Street in Lynchburg.

I have been blogging for almost three years (WOW, that’s gone by fast!) here at, and I love it! I am glad to be able to provide a local resource for those who are planning weddings, and I have definitely learned a whole lot during my blogging experiences.

As a part of that, I have been asked to speak at the Blogville conference coming up THIS Saturday, April 13, in Charlottesville, VA. Many girls have to travel far (by plane, having to stay in a hotel… etc.), but we are SO fortunate to have this blogging conference in our own backyard.

Whether you are an avid blogger with a blog on its own or if you have a blog as an extension of your business website, you are sure to gain lots of knowledge and ideas from this fun, informative time with other bloggers.

Yay, Blogville!!

It’s SO hard to believe that our I Dream of a Wedding couple have been married for a month already! Their wedding day was so special and a LOT of fun. Photos will be up on the blog soon, but for now take a peek at the video of highlights from their day. It’s well known that I enjoy blogging, writing, publishing and social media, but I absolutely love, love, LOVE meeting brides … and Bliss, a fine wedding fair is just that opportunity. I feel like it’s our blog in a live format with ideas, sessions, workshops, panel discussions and more. This year we even added a fashion show! We are planning another Bliss, a fine wedding fair for spring of 2014, and we have one coming up in Roanoke in the fall of 2013 … SO exciting! We also have another fun surprise for November, but we’ll get to that AFTER we show you our photos from this past Bliss taken by Stone Blue Productions. Enjoy!

Our March 2013 event was held at the lovely Tresca on 8th in downtown Lynchburg.

Our Instagram hashtag #blissfair2013 worked wonderfully! If you are on Instagram, look up the hashtag to see photos that were taken throughout the day. So fun!

Bowen provided our bags, which we filled for our guests.

Our vendors were wonderful, and we were excited to have each and every one of them participate.

A shoutout also goes to DJ Ed, who was not only a vendor, but he provided us with music and microphones throughout the day including DJing our fashion show!

It was fun to have so many brides and guests in attendance at Bliss!

Our day included mingling with vendors, workshops, panel discussions, a fashion show and even a dance demonstration!

And, of course, all of the guests received our wedding and spring issues of clutch.
