What a gorgeous and fun autumn wedding – and local, too! With passionately vibrant flowers and spunky bridesmaids, Lindsay and Kyle look like they had a ton of fun exchanging vows and celebrating their union with family and friends as the sun set. Take a look at these photos from Visions by Heather and read what Heather has to say about the experience herself.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon in October in the midst our local James River State Park (bordered by the Buckingham and Nelson county line), I would consider a picnic, a walk, or exploring nature with family.  But for Lindsay and Kyle it was the perfect place for their wedding.  At the bottom of a rolling hill amid closest friends and family with a beautiful mountain view they chose to say “I do.”

The details of their day were meticulously and thoughtfully planned … I could go on and on!

His younger brother and sisters played violins for their ceremony while special friends and family sang and read.  In the middle they shared in a sand ceremony pouring sand from the beaches they have lived in the past, including Charleston, SC, where they met and Ocean Beach, CA, where they reside together now.

She chose dresses for her attendants with complimentary fall hues, each alike in style but with a different accent color.  Bouquets of different flowers accompanied each attendant to coordinate with her chosen accent color.

We took an amazing walk around the park’s pond for some of the most stunning light so they could enjoy some private moments before the party began.

They celebrated each other, and being together following his recent deployment, in every breath.

Their song choices and music kept the floor active ALL night long, including a fun and fabulous surprise presentation of the “Charleston”, a floor filled homage to Ohio State with “Hang On Sloopy”, a special dedication to a friend’s anniversary with one of my very favorites from Dave Matthews Band “You & Me”, and of course the dance between bride & groom with a adorable less traditional tune of Plain White T’s “1, 2, 3, 4″.

Lindsay and Kyle “love”.  They love life, and family, and friends, and each other.  Openly and wholeheartedly accompanied by amazing laughter and adoring looks.  They are refreshing and make my heart smile.  I was truly blessed to be a part of their perfect autumn wedding day.”
